Registration begins two months before the month of the scheduled class. Registration will continue until classes are filled. If you are not able to register you may still be able to attend the class as a standby. Please remember to bring a valid picture ID to the class. Students must complete all days of a scheduled class for certification.

Please have the following required information ready prior to calling:
(1) First name, last name, middle initial
(2) Date of birth
(3) Phone number
(4) Complete mailing address
Students must be 10 years old by the scheduled date of the class. If you are between 10 and 16 years old, you need to be accompanied by an adult. If you are over 16, you may take the class without an adult.
You should receive your certification card within 3-4 weeks of completing your class.

No, under SB 1230 SD2 HD1 CD1, Act 52 effective Jan 1, 2024, the Hunter Ed certificate is only good for long gun permits.

To login, the primary applicant will need:
- Hawaii Hunter Education Certificate #
- Date of Birth
- Last Name
The information required on the application for the primary applicant is:
- First Name
- Last Name
- Phone Number
- Date of Birth
- Address
The primary will also need to enter the following information about each of the hunters within their group:
- First Name
- Last Name
- Date of Birth
- Phone Number (can be the same as the primary)
- Address (can be the same as the primary)
If you forgot your hunter education certificate number you can find it by going through the Request User ID process. Once you login you will see your certificate number on your dashboard.

You will receive a confirmation email after submission. You can also view your submitted application online by doing the following:
- Login using your credentials
- Under 'My Go Hunt, Hawaii' -> Select 'My Hunts'
- The application will be listed
The fee is $10.00 per hunter per hunt applying for.

The max hunters per group will vary depending on the hunt type. To find the max hunters for a particular hunt go to the hunt details, select the ‘Application Period’ tab, and the max hunters allowed per group will be listed.
The primary applicant will have the draw number on the application receipt. The primary applicant can also find the draw number by doing the following:
- Login using your credentials
- Under 'My Go Hunt, Hawaii' -> Select 'My Hunts'
- The draw number will be listed for the application that was submitted
The lottery results will be posted by 4pm on the day of the lottery.
